The Vision of the Site
‘A Site for All Ages’ is the Israeli home for the eradication of ageism. Through this site, we hope to play a central role in the battle against age-related stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination. The site offers a wealth of resources in the field of ageism – knowledge and activities – with the goal of changing age-biased behaviors, feelings and thoughts. A substantial part of the site is devoted to ageism toward older people, in recognition of the fact that the phenomenon hinders people from realizing their inherent potential in the later years of their lives.

The Impact Center
‘A Site for All Ages’ was created as part of the social vision of the Impact Center for the Study of Ageism and Older Age in Israel, an interdisciplinary center supported by Mrs. Gabi Weisfeld. A primary emphasis of the Impact Center is the reduction of ageism, to pave the way for a more egalitarian and inclusive society, which will allow involvement and achievement at any age.

Head of the Center
Liat Ayalon, PhD, is a Professor in the School of Social Work, at Bar Ilan University, Israel. Prof. Ayalon is currently funded by the Israel Science Foundation to study intergenerational relations in the context of climate change. She is also funded by the Volkswagen Foundation in collaboration with colleagues in Germany to study moral dilemmas in migrant home care arrangements.
She was the coordinator of an international EU funded Ph.D. program on the topic of ageism (EuroAgeism.eu; 2017-2022). Between 2014 and 2018, Prof. Ayalon has led an international research network on the topic of ageism, funded through COST (Cooperation in Science and Technology; COST IS1402, notoageism.com).
Prof. Ayalon consults both national and international organizations concerning the development and evaluation of programs and services for older adults. In recognition of her work, she was selected by the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing as one of 50 world leaders working to transform the world to be a better place in which to grow older.
